About this program
Recovery does not end when the surgery does. You learn how the muscles and joints work, how to assess what a patient can and cannot do, and how to take them through the exercises and therapy that get them back on their feet.
A lot of this job is encouragement. Patients are in pain and want to stop, and part of your skill is knowing when to push and when to ease off. It suits people who are patient, physically active, and good at explaining things simply.

Where this can take you
Graduates work in hospital physiotherapy departments, rehabilitation centres, orthopaedic clinics, and sports facilities. Private practice is common once you have experience.
