About this program
Getting a medicine wrong is dangerous, and the person at the counter is the last check before it reaches a patient. You learn the common drug groups and what they do, how to read a prescription properly, how to calculate and check a dose, and how medicines must be stored so they still work.
You also learn the part of the job that is about people: explaining to a patient how and when to take something, and knowing which questions to refer to the pharmacist or the doctor.
