Our story
Training the people hospitals actually need
Al-Barr College of Nursing and Health Sciences was set up in Faisalabad to train nurses, midwives, and allied health professionals to a standard that hospitals can rely on. Our campus sits at Pharala Mor on Dijkot Road, close enough to the city to be easy to reach and close enough to the surrounding districts to serve the students who need us most.
We run eleven approved programs across two families. The nursing and midwifery side is recognized by the Pakistan Nursing Council. The allied health side is affiliated with the Punjab Medical Faculty, Lahore. Both sides share the same approach: small enough classes to ask questions, teachers who have done the job, and as much hands-on practice as we can fit into the timetable.
A healthcare qualification is only worth what the holder can actually do with it. That belief decides how we teach, what we spend money on, and who we hire.

Message from the Principal
Choosing where to study is one of the biggest decisions a family makes, and I do not take it lightly that you are considering us.
What I can promise you is this. Our teachers have worked in hospitals and laboratories themselves. Our labs have equipment that works. Our students spend real time on real wards, because that is the only way anyone learns to care for a patient properly. And if you have a question at any point, from your first phone call to the day you graduate, our door is open.

Pakistan Nursing Council
Our nursing and midwifery programs are recognized by the PNC, the statutory body that regulates nursing education and registration in Pakistan. Students are registered with the Council after admission, and our office handles that process with you.

Our allied health programs are affiliated with the Punjab Medical Faculty, which sets the curriculum and conducts the examinations for allied health education in the province. Students are registered with the Faculty after admission.

Where you will learn
Simulation lab
Mannequins, beds, and equipment set up like a real ward. You practice every procedure here before you do it on a patient.
Science laboratories
Working microscopes, centrifuges, and analysers for the laboratory technology students, kept to the standard our regulators require.
Classrooms
Proper teaching rooms with space to demonstrate, not just lecture. Class sizes are kept small enough that you can ask questions.
Clinical training site
Rotations on real hospital wards with real patients, under supervision. This is where the training stops being theory.
